Georgetown Academy: Book Four by Jessica Koosed Etting & Alyssa Embree Schwartz
When the vice president resigns and Ellie and Taryn’s parents emerge as the frontrunners, the girls find themselves back in the spotlight.
Ellie could not care less about becoming the Second Daughter, but she knows how much the opportunity to make history means to her mother – and women everywhere. With her family taking centre stage, Ellie must decide whether she can put her feelings for Gabe on hold – again.
Taryn, so used to captivating the hearts and minds of everyone she meets, is unbothered by the increased media scrutiny. But an inopportune screw-up has her beholden to an unlikely – and unfriendly – source for help.
Overnight, Evan has skyrocketed from social pariah to Miss Popular. As she and her reluctant parents adjust to her new lifestyle, the last thing she needs is a front-page scandal.
Brinley can’t stop thinking about her Stowe-bound hook-up…until her father’s intern, Patrick, starts flirting. Is it time to abandon her fling now that she has a more appropriate suitor?
Review: The girls are back and like always the stakes are high. The pressure cooker which is Washington DC combined with being some of the ruling elite the girls feel the pressure more than ever in this book. With the vice presidency in question the girls are thrown into spotlights. Not only are alliances tested but so are friendships and enemies too.
Like always Brinley still holds the number one place in my heart. What can I say, the girl grew on me. Brinley could quite possibly be the most conflicted person in the whole series. To see someone who has been so self assured throughout the whole series questioning all her values, ethics and beliefs for a guy who represents the exact opposite of her life in DC made me fall in love with not only Brinley more but really cheer on her relationship with Shane. So if it wasn’t obvious I seriously ship Brinley and Shane, like come on guys how can you not. I’m thinking like Shinley or like Brane, maybe Shanley. Come on guys, someone make a better name up for them for me pleaseeeeeeee!! I say no to Patrick. Brinley say no to Patrick please!!! Will Brinley take the road less travelled and stay off the Madison path or will she go her own way… a way which I hope leads to Shane 😉
In book four we see Ellie and Taryn battling it out in not only the political stratosphere but in their own personal lives. With the breakdown of her relationship with Gabe and her questionable relationship with the illustrious and all knowing Brooks Madison, what will Taryn do? After Taryn’s dad hires Brros father to help him win the spot of VP, Brooks and Trayn are drawn together even more. As they spend more time together things get more confusing and Taryn starts to lose herself and what she stands for along the way. DC has a way of changing people, sometimes for the better or worse, will Brooks be able to help Taryn find her way to not only herself but him too?
And the Ellie and Gabe saga continues, these guys are the political equivalent of Romeo and Juliet in DC. Will these two love birds ever find their way to each other or like you know move on?
And last but not lease Evan, Sweet, naive, Evan. What can I say. She got the guy, she got the life and guy she wanted but at what cost?
I think to sum this book up nicely would to say snhpirxotvaygjsruytngurjseanfgsnvjtsblgsnmlf. If you’ve read the rest of the series than read book four and if you haven’t started yet, what are you guys waiting for!
